The Otterhound Club
The Otterhound Club is an organization formed in 1978 by a concerned group of people comprising members of Otter hunts and members of the general dog world, working together with the Kennel club to create a club framework to promote and ensure the survival of this very rare and ancient British breed of hound. The Otterhound Club has a particular responsibility towards the otterhound, although the Otterhound Club of America is older, we are the parent club representing the otterhound in its country of origin.
The Otterhound Club is a member’s society registered with the Kennel Club, open to all who love and care for or have an interest in our wonderful amiable, very rare, highly endangered British breed, otterhounds. The club is organized by a set of rules and code of conduct drawn up by members in an annual general meeting to ensure that every possible activity is encouraged for the socialization of hounds and the enjoyment of their owners.
